!I have many times opened my mouth when I oushldn't, but I try to be the one who comes back and clears the air later. Last year, I had a friend throw a huge fit and yell out horrible things at a very casual, low-key games night with a large group. I was speechless (a rarity) and didn't know what to do when under attack, and none of my friends were stepping in, so I just waited it out quietly and feel like I was the better person, leaving when it was more close to natural to do so. From that day on though, my games night friends have games nights that are with me or are with her and I'm missing out on fun nights because she is in attendance and everyone is uncomfortable.
